Six Valuable Lessons I've Learned About Life

With the constant stress of everyday life, it's easy to become overwhelmed and burned out. But to live a more fulfilling life, we should learn to accept who we are and strive to become the best version of ourselves. Here are six lessons we can use to help us do just that.

Lesson Number One

Don't press the try more complex button.

We all trick our brains into doing stuff by saying I failed this time. But next time, I'm just gonna try harder then that'll work. Instead, build a system around what you're doing so that you don't need to try so hard.

Lesson Number Two

Think about energizers versus drainers.

When you're torn between two decisions, ask yourself, will this energize me will restrain me and move towards the things that energize you

Lesson Number Three

Choose to be satisfied.

When you reach the end of the day, you want to beat yourself up because you haven't done enough work. And you can just choose to be satisfied. You don't have to flagellate yourself for not being productive enough.

Lesson Number Four

Planning and doing are two different modes of being.

Plan what you're gonna do at the start of the day; for the rest of the day, just execute your plan. Don't try and do both together

Lesson Number Five

Every day, wake up at the same time.

It is one of the biggest hacks you can make to sleep quality and general quality of life. Wake up at the same time every day.

Lesson Number Six

The pain of rejection is way better than the pain of regret.

Whatever that thing is that you're struggling to do, just shoot your shot, and I promise you, you're not gonna regret it.
